References of God from Different Religions and Their Meanings
The world is full of different religions close to four thousand and three hundred by count. this number sums up all churches, denominations, faith groups, and culture among many. Nevertheless, the entire world population is concentrated with five major religions. They go by names like Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism. Each of these religions practices its own beliefs and have a specific divine head whom they believe in. The differences in this makes it also evident in how they name and accord meaning to God. They call God in many different names which carry different meaning according to each.
The Christian religion, for example, is one of the largest communities. Christians believe in one God who created everything. Their God has reference to several names such as creator, savior, protector, messiah, and father among many others. Their God is true and desires a personal relationship with people who believe in Him. They also believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God and God in himself. It is also inclusive of numerous denominations around it. in some instances, he is called Jehovah. They understand and study the Bible as the voice of God to them in their normal activities of life. There are several teachings, beliefs, and lessons that one draws from this book, and it has a lot of impact in their lives. Christians also believe in the promise of the life after death through the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the son of God many different names.
The other religion is Judaism, which is known to be a Hebrew version of Christianity. It is a common religion among the Jews and Hebrews though their population is not that big many different names. They call God Yahweh which in simple words means the lord. In some other instances they call him Hashem and Elohim among many.
After Judaism there is the Islam religion in whom the Muslim community believes in an almighty God call Allah. They believe that Allah is very mighty and superior to any other being from many different names. They have other names totaling to ninety-nine that refer to the same God. Hindu is the last in this line, and they believe in a spiritual being whom they call Shiva. They illustrate the manifestation of their god with a sign of arrows that point in all directions. They have several religious gods and goddesses that are manifested in their temples, rivers, idols, and animals among others. They believe that Shiva has been allowed to offer guidance to the followers in their life journey. You will find them using Vishnu to refer to the preserver, and Ganapati to mean obstacle mover in their references of god names and many different names. You can never have enough of religion because of these differences and many different names that are evident from one community to another.
